History

Excellence & Integrity

Our company was formed as a corporation in February of 1985. Its primary business was HVAC service, maintenance, refrigeration and gas piping.

In 1995, Emerald Aire merged with Sound Air, a local sheet metal fabrication and installation company.

January 1, 2000 marked the beginning of a new millennium, as well as a new era at Emerald Aire. The corporate structure was dissolved and rebuilt as a team organization. This was accompanied by a renewed dedication to our core philosophies of excellence, integrity, and service.

2004 marked the initial installation of the newest HVAC energy efficient technology, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF). Since then Emerald Aire has developed decades of experience in the design, engineering, installation and service of this high-tech equipment.

2015 Emerald Aire becomes a Diamond Dealer for Mitsubishi VRF.

Doug Happe, an original founder, retired in 2018. Grant Middleton & David Happe transitioned as Head Coaches and owners with John Ridge.

In 2019, Emerald Aire became a certified LINC contractor and has been expanding its Service department steadily ever since by focusing on proactive service, mitigating downtime and full-service financially focused solutions.

At the end of 2020 John Ridge retired after many years in the industry and valued Emerald Aire owner.

Currently, the team at Emerald Aire is focused on continually improving communication by identifying the root questions, taking time to understand the outcomes of our answer, and presenting realistic solutions to customize our products in design, engineering, project management, installation, start-up and service.
