This 518,921 square foot building contains over 200 Mitsubishi Ductless Heat Pumps to heat and cool its mixed use spaces and 384 apartments. The western and southern facing units have ductless heat pumps. They provide cooling in the summer and reduce energy used for space heating in winter.” Designed with the environment in mind, Sitka has one of the first wastewater heat exchangers! It is a unique system to capture heat from outgoing wastewater for heating incoming water, and water from showers and laundry is re-used for on-site irrigation.
